I am a postdoctoral scholar in the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I work with my PI, Prof. Niklas Elmqvist in the Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL). I received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 from Purdue University, West Lafayette, where I worked with Prof. Karthik Ramani at the C Design Lab . My research focuses on the integration of computer support tools to aid collaboration in early design, and the use of visualization and visual analytics techniques to understand how designers collaborate.
In a past life before graduate school, I have also worked in the engineering industry in India. I have worked in areas including automotive interior design, structural analysis in the automotive and heavy engineering sectors, and knowledge-based engineering in the heavy engineering sector.
