I am a postdoctoral scholar working with Prof. Kwan-Liu Ma at the Visualization & Research Design Innovation (VIDI) Lab at the University of California, Davis. Earlier, I also worked as a postdoctoral scholar with Prof. Niklas Elmqvist in the Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) at the University of Maryland, College Park. My research focuses on the integration of computer support tools to aid collaboration in early design, and the use of visualization and visual analytics techniques to understand how designers collaborate.
I received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 from Purdue University, West Lafayette, where I worked with Prof. Karthik Ramani at the C Design Lab. In a past life before graduate school, I have also worked in the engineering industry in India. My work spanned automotive interior design, structural analysis in the automotive and heavy engineering sectors, and knowledge-based engineering in the heavy engineering sector.
